The year was 1996. I was a humble software technician at a newly Universitified Polytechnic in Staffordshire. Basically that meant that I reinstalled software every time the students mucked it up, which was daily.

Floureon M-880
Back in May this year, 6 weeks into the First Lockdown, having no prospects of getting to go anywhere to test them properly, I bought myself a pair of Floureon M-880 PMR446 Walkie Talkies.

Simple ISP connection monitoring
Recently I got utterly titsed off with my ISP denying that there was a problem with my connection. At certain times every day, my connection would drop, I would ring them up, and they would claim there wasn’t a fault.
